Terms of Service & Engineering Standards

1. Scope of Agreement

These Terms of Service govern all website usage, thermodynamics consultations, heat pump deliveries, air conditioning installations, and maintenance services performed by Enginevaultpilt Oy (FI-2948102-9). By browsing our site, submitting a quotation ticket, or authorizing a works contract, you agree to be bound by these provisions.

2. Technical Site Readiness and Access

For on-site installation and maintenance projects, the client is responsible for ensuring clear, safe access to plant rooms, attics, rooftops, and exterior wall mounting surfaces. Electrical main panels must satisfy minimum amperage requirements specified in the project engineering quote. Any structural impediments, hidden asbestos, or electrical non-conformities discovered during drilling are subject to additional remediation rates.

3. Housing Company (Taloyhtiö) Permissions

In Finnish condominium and apartment properties (asunto-osakeyhtiöt), the client is strictly responsible for securing written alteration permission (muutostyöilmoitus) from the building board prior to exterior wall penetrations, balcony AC condenser placements, or shared electrical riser connections. Enginevaultpilt assists with official acoustic and technical documentation upon request.

4. Quotations, Pricing, and Invoicing

All quotation estimates are valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue. Commercial contracts require a 30% mobilization deposit upon blueprint sign-off, with the balance due upon final commissioning and pressure test verification. Consumer invoices are issued with 14-day payment terms in accordance with Finnish Consumer Protection legislation (Kuluttajansuojalaki 38/1978).

5. Warranties & Limitation of Liability

Enginevaultpilt provides a 5-year mechanical warranty on compressor assemblies and a 2-year guarantee on labor craftsmanship. Warranties become void if unauthorized third parties modify refrigerant charges, bypass safety loops, or fail to adhere to annual filter cleaning schedules.

To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law, Enginevaultpilt shall not be held liable for indirect commercial losses, business interruption, or frozen pipe damages resulting from regional grid power blackouts exceeding backup battery capacity.

6. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

This agreement is governed exclusively by the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising from contractual disagreements shall primarily be resolved through amicable negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to the District Court of Helsinki (Helsingin käräjäoikeus). Consumers retain the right to submit matters to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta).
